Loglune editorial policy

Updated

Loglune publishes its articles under the author name Loglune, the company that builds the Loglune feature-flag platform. This page states how those articles choose sources, check claims about the product, and get updated.

How articles cite sources

  • A third-party study or number names its publisher and keeps the publisher's own wording.
  • When the publisher has a page for the claim, the article links to it. A DOI is always a link.
  • A comparison with another product uses the product's official name, states the date the official information was checked, and links to the official page that supports the claim.

How claims about Loglune are checked

  • Every statement about Loglune matches the product specification or the live console. A feature that has not shipped is never described in the present tense.
  • Screens are captures of the live product. Sample data is labeled as sample data, and an editorial diagram is never presented as a product screenshot.
  • Customer flag definitions, change events, evaluation records, support conversations and unpublished usage data are never used as article material.

What counts as a test

An article separates a comparison of public information from a hands-on test, and calls something tested only when it was run. A hands-on test states its input, conditions, date, the products compared, and the result. Articles distinguish feature samples, editorial examples and public case studies, and never describe fictional customers, reviews, user counts or results.

When an article is updated

  • The Published date is the first publication. The Updated date moves only when a fact, a step, a comparison, a number or the description of the product changes; a typo or formatting fix ships with the next such change instead of moving the date on its own.
  • When Loglune's screens, features, pricing or handling of personal data change, the affected claims, images, calls to action and dates change together.
  • Every article is reviewed each quarter for facts, links and agreement with the product.
  • When a cited page moves or disappears, the link is moved to the new page or removed.
